Here's my journey with the ball bounce!
I'd done it before using traditional animation, even then it was a bit rough. But I found that Animate has some features that really help to keep things moving smooth. It was fun trying to plan out how the ball was going to move and would it be able to do so realistically with my layout. It was also pretty cool, breathing life into a ball and making it look sentient.
So any way enjoy.
This first video is my basic ball bounce done roughly with hand drawn frames.
The second is the ball going through obstacles.
